Raymond L. Barton is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Great Clips, Inc. Mr. Barton holds a BS degree from San Diego State University. In addition to his service on the Children’s board, Mr. Barton is a board member of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, and serves on several advisory boards of private corporations. He has served on the board of directors of Junior Achievement Association of the Upper Midwest.

Russ Becker is President and Chief Executive Officer of APi Group, Inc., a billion dollar holding company for more than 32 independent construction and construction-related businesses. Becker has worked in the construction industry since 1994, initially with Ryan Companies, and subsequently with Jamar Company, where he became President. In 2002, Becker became President of the APi Group, the parent company of Jamar. Two years later, he became CEO of APi group.

Becker grew up on the Iron Range in Virginia, Minn. He earned a hockey scholarship from Michigan Tech and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1989, and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1991.

Russ Becker serves on the Board of Directors of Dunwoody Institute, and is an active member in the Young Presidents Organization. He resides with his wife, Trish, and 3 sons in Dellwood, Minnesota. He is active in his passion for hockey, coaching youngsters to high school age hockey teams.

John R. Bultena has spent his career in the financial services industry and the private practice of law. Most recently, he served as Minnesota Chairman of Northern Trust Bank, and before that, as the President and CEO who opened Northern’s first Minnesota office in 2005. Earlier, he was Executive Vice President, then President and CEO of Dorsey & Whitney Trust Company, as well as Sr. Vice President and head of personal trust administration for U.S. Bancorp. From 1976 until 1990, Mr. Bultena practiced law with the Twin Cities firm of Briggs and Morgan. He served for 25 years as a Director and Treasurer of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company, and currently serves as a Director of Bonestroo, Inc., and a Director of Surgical Management Professionals, LLC. He also is a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Minnesota Law School and the Board of Directors of Minneapolis Rotary Club.

Mr. Bultena holds a B.A. degree from Augustana College (S.D.), a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, and an LL.M. (in Taxation) from New York University. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Ramsey County Bar Association. In addition to his service as a member of the Children’s board, Mr. Bultena has served as a Regent of Augustana College and a Director of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Pamela Gigi Chawla, MD, is the Chief of Staff of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Dr. Chawla, a pediatrician in the Children’s Clinic on the St. Paul campus, attended medical school at the University of Minnesota. She completed her pediatric residency training and chief residency at the University of Minnesota. She was employed at Boston Children's Hospital as a fulltime Hospitalist for a year before moving back to Minnesota to join the Children’s Clinic in 2001.

Dr. Chawla serves on several professional staff committees and is actively involved in progression to full electronic medical record at Children’s. Her areas of clinical interest are in the health care of children with advanced needs and the care of hospitalized patients.

Michael V. Ciresi is a name partner and former Chairman of the Executive Board of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, L.L.P, with its principal office in Minneapolis, is internationally recognized for its expertise in litigation. Mr. Ciresi’s trial practice and consulting is focused in the areas of product liability, intellectual property, business and commercial litigation. Mr. Ciresi has acted as counsel for corporations, individuals and governmental entities throughout his career, and has taught and lectured nationally and internationally to various professional and business groups. Mr. Ciresi is one of the few number of lawyers who has been recognized on two occasions in the National Law.

Journal’s annual list of “Ten of the Nation’s Top Trial Lawyers”, and in 1997, 2000 and 2006 was named by the Journal as one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America”. He has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1989 and was honored by the Australian National Consumer Law Association as “Product Liability Lawyer of the Year” in 1989, and in 1998 was given a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the Minnesota Association for Justice (formerly Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association). In 2001, an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws was conferred upon Mr. Ciresi by Southwestern University School of Law, and in 2002, Mr. Ciresi was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations Foundation, Inc. Mr. Ciresi is one of 289 lawyers listed in The International Who’s Who of Patent Lawyers 2005 and is named in The Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America.

Mr. Ciresi is a member, among other professional organizations, of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American College of Trial Lawyers, Inner Circle of Advocates, and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of St. Thomas, the Board of Governors of the University of St. Thomas School of Law, the Guthrie Theater (term completed 2005), Ordway Center for the Performing Arts (term completed 2005), Regions Hospital Foundation and Minnesota Early Learning Foundation.

Kelly Delahunty, MD is a pediatrician in private practice with Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine with offices in St. Paul and the surrounding communities. Dr. Delahunty is a member of the professional staff of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. She earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and received her MD degree from the University of Minnesota, where she completed her pediatrics residency.

Michael B. Fiterman is President and CEO of Liberty Diversified Industries, a company involved in the manufacture and marketing of recycled paper, corrugated containers, composite building material and corrugated plastic, material handling equipment, office storage, office furniture and graphic arts equipment.

Mr. Fiterman received a BS degree from the University of Minnesota. In addition to his service for Children’s, he also serves on the boards of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and Herzl Camp. In the past, Mr. Fiterman also served on the boards of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and Mt. Sinai Hospital, as well as dedicated time and effort to various fundraising activities for Children’s Cancer Fund, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and Vail Place.

Alan L. Goldbloom, MD, has been President and CEO of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota since 2003. Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Goldbloom served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He also directed residency-training programs in pediatrics, and served as chairman of the examining board in pediatrics for The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Goldbloom is a 1973 graduate of the medical school at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He practiced pediatrics in Nova Scotia, where he also served on the faculty at Dalhousie University. He then served as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto, and Associate Pediatrician-in-Chief at The Hospital for Sick Children.

Dr. Goldbloom serves on the boards of Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI), the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA), the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Minneapolis Community and Technical College Foundation.

Sima Griffith is a founder and Managing Principal of Aethlon Capital, a private investment bank offering financing, M&A, and strategic advisory services. Ms. Griffith received her BA degree from Amherst College.

In addition to her service on the Children’s Board, Ms. Griffith is also on the Board of the Minneapolis Foundation, a statewide center for philanthropy and, on the Board of Advisors of PACER, a non-profit organization serving families of children and young adults with disabilities. Ms. Griffith is a Board member of The Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable. She served on the Board of Governors of the Children’s Theatre Company and the Board of Directors of the Investor Relations Section of the Public Relations Society of America

Andrea Kmetz-Sheehy has professional experience that includes positions with FahlgrenMartin Advertising, Cincinnati, Ohio, American Nursing Care, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Peak Health Plans, Colorado. She holds a BA degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Kmetz-Sheehy serves on the boards of the MacPhail Center for Music and the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, and is a volunteer at Breck School.

Chad M. Lindbloom is a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for C.H. Robinson Worldwide. Mr. Lindbloom has been with C.H. Robinson since 1990 and served as Corporate Controller prior to his position as Executive and Chief Financial Officer in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

In addition to serving on Children’s board, Mr. Lindbloom also serves on the Board of Directors of Xata Corporation, a provider of vehicle data and fleet operations services to the trucking industry.

Gaye Adams Massey, is a senior deputy general counsel at UnitedHealth Group. Ms. Massey has been with UnitedHealth Group since 2001, and has also served as general counsel of the company’s Ovations business unit. Prior to joining UnitedHealth she served as vice president and general counsel for QualChoice Health Plan, part of the University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, and in various legal roles at Aetna, Inc. in Hartford, Connecticut. Ms. Massey began her legal career with Crowell & Moring in Washington, D.C., after serving as a judicial clerk on the D.C. Court of Appeals. Prior to embarking on her legal career, Ms. Massey served as an Executive Assistant to the President of the Children’s Defense Fund in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Massey serves as a trustee of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and on the Board of Directors of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice. Previously she served on the board of Families Moving Forward, a member of the Interfaith Hospitality Network serving homeless families in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. She has also served on the boards of the Centers for Dialysis Care in Cleveland, Ohio, and Hartford Community Health Services and Lawyers for Children in Hartford, Connecticut. She is an active member of the Minneapolis Chapter of the Links, Inc., and the Minneapolis Chapter of Jack & Jill. Ms. Massey earned her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School.

David J. Miller is Chief Executive Officer of Minnetonka Moccasin Company. He has been with Minnetonka Moccasin Company since 1979. Mr. Miller is a graduate of Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. He has extensive non-profit board experience, and has sat on a number of for-profit business boards that include both public and private companies. In addition to his service for Children’s, Mr. Miller also serves on the board of directors for Sing for Hope, a non-profit organization consisting of professional artists who donate their talent and time to the humanitarian causes that inspire them. He also recently served as vice chair for the Jane Goodall Institute, an international organization whose mission is to advance the power individuals to improve the environment for all living things.

Michael J. Ott is president CEO of Somerset Asset Management LLC a Twin Cities based investment management firm and affiliate of Dougherty Financial Group LLC.

A native of Chicago, Mike spent nearly 7 years on active duty as an Air Force officer. While an officer, he served as a project engineer and acquisitions officer – managing the development, approval and installation of several intelligence and communications systems for joint service use in numerous worldwide locations. Leaving active duty in late 1991, Mike spent time as an engineer at Ford Motor Company, eventually working his way to the financial services industry in 1993 when he joined a boutique investment bank in Chicago, The Chicago Corporation.

Mike became a Minnesotan in June 1995, when he was recruited by Piper Jaffray & Co., becoming responsible for building the firms’ West Coast presence in selling research and IPOs. After more than 7 years as a leading salesman in that group, Mike was promoted to Head of Equity Research in 2003. Mike continues to serve as an officer in the Air Force Reserves in his current rank as a Lt. Colonel. He also serves as a Liaison Officer for the admissions department at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from which he graduated in 1985.

Mike is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and is a trustee for the Falcon Foundation in Colorado Springs.

Timothy J. Pabst is a shareholder with the law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard, where he is chair of its Business Division, vice president of the firm, and is member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He participates in both the Closely Held Business and Tax and the Estate Planning and Probate practice groups. Mr. Pabst is a member of the American Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has been a member of the Joint Finance Committee of the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Board since 2002. Mr. Pabst is also a member of the Guthrie Theater Board of Directors. He holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law

Edward J. Phillips is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Phillips Beverage Company, a holding company, which owned Millennium Import LLC until its sale to Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) in April of 2005.

Mr. Phillips holds a BA degree from Stanford University and both an MA and a law degree from the University of Minnesota. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

In addition to his membership on the board of Children's, Phillips is the founder of The Jay Phillips Center for Jewish-Christian Learning at St. John's University and the University of St. Thomas and is a member of both its Board of Directors and Executive Committee, he serves on the Advisory Committee of the Givens Collection of African American Literature at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Phillips serves as a founding member of the Statutory Board of the Page Education Foundation and is a Board member for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium. He serves with great pleasure as a Trustee of Breck School which his children attend. Active participation in civic and humanitarian projects is an important part of Edward Phillips' life. He serves as a trustee of The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation, a charitable foundation established by his grandparents in 1944, and recently established in 2004 The Edward and Leslye Phillips Family Foundation. "Venture Philanthropy" is very important to Mr. Phillips as evidenced by his long-standing involvement with the Worldwide Orphans Foundation and the Apollo Theater.

Mr. Phillips is a former Chair of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and formerly held board positions with the American Cancer Society, Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Orchestra, University of Minnesota Foundation, the YMCA, The Guthrie Theater Foundation, Area Chairperson of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Campaign, the Board of Regents of Saint John's University, Venturian Corporation, Minnesota AIDS Project, AMICUS, Jeremiah Project, First Trust, U.S. Bank, Phillips Eye Institute and Mt. Sinai Foundation and served for seven years as an Executive Mentor for the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.

Mr. Phillips is a past recipient of the "Distinguished Service Award" for the Minneapolis Chapter of the Jaycees, was selected by the Jaycees for their "Ten Outstanding Young Men in Minnesota Award," and was honored as one of the twenty outstanding young men in the United States. In 2001, the President of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, presented Mr. Phillips with Poland's most significant civilian award.

Octavio Portu, Jr., co-founded Portu-Sunberg Marketing, a manufacturer’s representative firm that markets seasonal holiday products to major regional and national retailers. He also co-founded Seasonal Specialties, importing holiday seasonal products to major regional and national retailers, and Strategic Designs, designing and marketing new product ideas. Mr. Portu holds both a BA and an MBA from The American University in Washington, DC.

In addition to serving on Children’s board, Mr. Portu is a board member of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation. He has served on the boards of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery and the Children’s Theatre Company. Portu also has long service with the Breck School, currently serving as a board member and member of the Executive Committee.

Ryan D. Robinson is Chief Financial Officer, United States, Senior Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services. In this capacity, Robinson oversees the planning, performance management and development of Best Buy U.S. operations. Robinson manages the treasury functions for the global enterprise including capital structure, financing and investing needs. He also oversees the financial matters of several of the company’s emerging businesses, including Best Buy Financial Services, Best Buy for Business, Best Buy Mobile, Pacific Sales and Magnolia stand-alone stores.

Mr. Robinson joined Best Buy in 2002 as vice president of finance and treasurer. Robinson previously led the company’s corporate development activities, including mergers, acquisitions and new business ventures as well as the enterprise tax function.

Prior to joining Best Buy, Robinson spent 15 years at ABN AMRO, a leading international bank, most recently serving as senior vice president and director of the company’s North American private equity activities. Robinson also held a number of other management positions in ABN AMRO’s corporate finance, finance advisory, acquisitions and asset securitization divisions.

Mr. Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s of business administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Patrick Ryan is President of Ryan Companies US, Inc., a leading commercial real estate firm. Ryan provides integrated design-build, development and real estate management services to customers in the industrial, retail, public sector, office, mission critical, health care and hospitality markets.

He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, a member and past director of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, University of St. Thomas School of Law Board of Governors chair, past president of Young President’s Organization (YPO) and a current member of the World President’s Organization (WPO).

His community work includes serving as trustee and past president of Children’s Cancer Research Fund, past president of Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School, and past board member of Catholic Charities. Pat is a founder of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, which is an inner-city college preparatory school for impoverished children. Pat is co-chair of the Spring Point Project, which is focused on finding a cure for diabetes.

Mr. Ryan graduated from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota with honors where he received a degree in business administration finance. Additionally, he earned a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sandra Sackett, MD, is a pediatrician in private practice and a member of the professional staff of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. She received her BA degree from Macalester College and an MD from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Sackett has served Children’s in a variety of capacities, including a term as chief of staff and as a member of the board of trustees for the former Children’s Hospital of St. Paul. Dr. Sackett currently serves as chair of Children’s credentials committee and member of the professional executive committee. In addition to her service for Children’s, she is a clinical professor of pediatrics for the University of Minnesota. Dr. Sackett is a board member of the Children’s Physician Network, and will serve as its Chair in January 2008.

Marvin S. Segal, MD, is a research clinician and a health care consultant, with interests in hospital, clinic, and health plan operations; cardiovascular clinical research studies; technology assessment; quality of care and utilization management activities; reimbursement and compensation topics; and physician relationship issues.

Dr. Segal received his BA, BS, and MD degrees from the University of Minnesota. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Physician Executives. Currently, Dr. Segal serves as a clinical professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

In addition to Children’s, Dr. Segal has been a member of the boards of Mount Sinai Hospital, the Minnesota Kidney Institute, Temple Israel, and Select Care Health Plan; and has served as the president of the Hennepin Medical Foundation. He has also served Children’s as a physician volunteer with the Teen Age Medical Service (TAMS).

Susan Sencer, MD, is Vice Chief of Staff of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Dr. Sencer is Medical Director, Hematology-Oncology Division, and Director, Integrative Cancer Care, at Children's Hospitals and Clinics. After a childhood spent in Atlanta, Georgia, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. She attended medical school, residency and fellowship at the University of Minnesota, specializing in pediatric hematology/oncology. She has been at Children’s since 1991. Her primary research interest is in pediatric integrative oncology. She has previously served on the Board of Make-a-Wish of Minnesota and is currently a medical advisory board member for Bear Necessities, a pediatric cancer philanthropic organization based in Chicago. She lives with her husband, the writer David Mura, and their three children Samantha, Nikko and Tomo in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

James D. Sidman, MD, is in practice with Pediatric ENT Associates in Minneapolis, and is Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Sidman graduated from Vassar College, then spent two years in the Peace Corps in Micronesia before earning his MD at Dartmouth Medical School. He served in the National Health Service Corps as a general practitioner in rural Maine for two years before completing his Otolaryngology training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Sidman is the director of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota. He is Chief of Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospitals, where he is also the Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Teams. He is on the Board of Children’s Surgery International (CSI) and travels once or twice a year to third world countries with CSI to lead medical missions primarily focused on cleft lip and palate repair. He has served on numerous committees for the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Society, American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, and has been an oral board examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Colin Smith is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Deephaven Capital Management LLC. He was previously a Vice President with Peter Schoenfeld Asset Management and Schroder Wertheim. Prior to that he was a financial analyst specializing in mergers and acquisitions advisory at Continental Partners. Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Board of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation Foundation and the Board of Minneapolis Jewish Day School.

Ron White is a senior sales and marketing executive with over 32 years of experience in the health care and insurance industry. He holds a BA degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota where he currently serves on the Alumni Board. After a long and successful career as a health care executive with organizations such as TheTravelers, Fortis, and UnitedHealth Group, Mr. White redirected his focus to health care staffing challenges and executive search and joined Professional Alternatives, LLC in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Business Development. He has since incorporated his own business (RC White Enterprises, Inc.) where he continues to grow his Executive Search and Consulting Company.
