Each month, a different Children’s expert is featured on the Mom Enough podcast, discussing topics such as summertime safety tips, getting enough sleep and helping your kids understand a serious illness or hospitalization.

This month, Katherine Ites, a physical therapist with our Rehabilitation Services department, offers her wisdom on making sure your child gets enough physical activity and the dangers posed by a sedentary lifestyle on the latest Mom Enough podcast.

Children’s director of infectious disease quoted in USA Today

Patsy Stinchfield, Children’s director of pediatric infectious disease, was quoted in USA Today on the current measles outbreak affecting the U.S. Two Children’s patient families who dealt with measles are also featured in the article.

The Minnesota Department of Health recently declared the measles outbreak in Minnesota over.

A big award for our child life manager

Sheila PalmWe’re thrilled to share that Sheila Palm, our child life manager, received the 2011 Distinguished Service Award.  It is the highest award presented annually by the Child Life Council Executive Board to an individual in the field of child life who has contributed significantly to the development of the profession.
