A tribute or memorial gift to Children’s Minnesota is a powerful way to honor someone you care about while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the kids and families cared for at Children’s Minnesota. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, remembering a loved one, honoring a caregiver or care team, or recognizing a life that has touched your own, your gift creates a lasting legacy that brings hope and healing to others.
Gifts can be designated to a specific program that reflects your loved one’s values or experiences or directed to the area of greatest need across Children’s Minnesota.
Ways to give in honor or memory
Give online
Make your gift online. You’ll be able to enter the name of the person you wish to honor and send an e-card.

Please include your loved one’s name and your relationship in the memo line.
A summary of donations made in memory of someone who has passed will be sent to the next of kin within four to six weeks after the memorial service.
Create a fundraising page in honor or memory of a loved one
Celebrate your loved one’s story and invite friends and family to join you in making a difference for kids and families at Children’s Minnesota by creating a personal fundraising page.
Honoring a care team member
Honor a care team member who made a difference by making a tribute gift in their name. Your thoughtful gift will serve as a token of gratitude, and they will be notified of your recognition.
Suggested language for obituaries or memorial notices
We are grateful when families choose to support Children’s Minnesota by inviting others to make a gift in memory of a loved one. Families often include memorial gift information in obituaries or service programs.
Sample language:
“Memorial gifts may be made to Children’s Minnesota in support of the [name of program] at:

Tribute plaques: A lasting legacy
Families who donate or raise $1,000 or more in tribute contributions are eligible to commemorate their loved one with a tribute plaque at either the Minneapolis or St. Paul hospital. These plaques are displayed on tribute walls as a lasting symbol of the impact your loved one continues to make and inspire.
