Children’s - Minneapolis (pediatric hospital and specialty clinics) is
centrally located in a residential neighborhood two miles south of downtown
Minneapolis. Its campus is part of a larger complex of health care
facilities in the immediate area. The hospital is easily accessible
from all parts of the region via Interstate highways or by local arterials.

Directions from the International Airport:
Exit airport by following signs to Hwy. 5. Proceed west on Hwy. 5 (also I- 494)
to Hwy. 77 (Cedar Avenue). Turn north on Hwy. 77 (Cedar Avenue) Proceed north on Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 62 (Crosstown). Turn west on Hwy. 62. Proceed on Crosstown to I-35W.
Turn north on I-35W. Proceed north to Lake Street. Exit at Lake Street, then turn
east (right) on Lake Street. and proceed to Chicago Avenue South. Turn north (left) on
Chicago Avenue and proceed four blocks.

From the north via I-35W:
Travel south on I-35W. Merge onto Highway 280 south and continue to I-94 west. Take the Cedar Avenue exit. Drive south on Cedar Avenue to 26th Street. Turn right on 26th Street and proceed west to
Chicago Avenue. Turn right on Chicago Avenue and proceed north
1/2 block to Children's - Minneapolis.

From the west via I-394 or I-94:
Traveling east on I-394, continue onto I-94 east and exit at Hiawatha
Avenue/Highway 55. Travel to 26th Street. Turn right on 26th Street and
proceed west to Chicago Avenue. Turn right on Chicago Avenue and
proceed north 1/2 block to Children's - Minneapolis.

From the west via Highway 55:
Traveling east on Hwy 55, turn right at Lyndale Avenue. Proceed
south on Lyndale Avenue to Franklin Avenue. Turn left on Franklin
Avenue and proceed east to Chicago Avenue. Turn right on Chicago
Avenue and proceed south three blocks to Children’s - Minneapolis.

From the south via I-35W:
Traveling north on I-35W, exit on 31st Street. Turn right on 31st
Street and proceed east to Chicago Avenue. Turn left on Chicago
Avenue and proceed north four blocks to Children’s - Minneapolis.

From the south via Hiawatha Avenue:
Travel north on Hiawatha Avenue/Highway 55 to 26th Street. Turn
left on 26th Street and proceed west to Chicago Avenue. Turn
right on Chicago Avenue and proceed north 1/2 block to
Children’s - Minneapolis.

From the east:
Traveling west on I-94, exit at Cedar Avenue and turn left. Proceed
south on Cedar Avenue to 26th Street. Turn right on 26th Street
and proceed west to Chicago Avenue. Turn right on Chicago

Parking Information
The best way to enter Children’s - Minneapolis is through the skyway which connects the hospital to the parking ramp. the main entrance to the parking ramp is at 26th Street and Elliot Avenue. You also may enter the ramp through the medical office building parking lot, off Chicago Avenue.
After parking, go to Level D and follow signs to the skyway entrance.
Parking fees are posted at the ramp entrance. State permits are required for designated handicapped accessible parking places. Valet services are available. A limited number of free and metered street spaces also are available on nearby streets.
If you will be visiting for several days, you may purchase discounted parking coupons from the hospital cashier, located on the second floor of the hospital (weekdays 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m.).
