Test Indications:

This test is useful for monitoring adequacy of blood concentration during Amiodarone therapy. The test may also be useful to evaluate patient compliance.

Trough levels should be obtained no less than 12 hours after the last dose.

Lab Staff: Centrifuge specimen, remove plasma aliquot into a screw-capped round bottom plastic vial. Store and ship at refrigerated temperatures. Forward promptly.
