Test Indications:
|
Thyroid receptor antibodies are elevated in patients with Graves' disease and autoimmune thyroiditis. Thyroid receptor antibodies are not found in the normal population. TRAb are present in more than 90% of patients with active Graves' disease. TSI activity is present in approximately 80% of patients with Graves' disease. Some sera potent in TRAb activity display no TSI activity, and apparently the reverse is also the case.
