Routine venipuncture. Mix tubes containing anticoagulant by gentle inversion.

Lab Staff: Centrifuge specimen, remove serum/plasma aliquot into plastic sample cup. Analyze specimen immediately or store at refrigerated temperatures.
Do Not use ultracentrifugation.

Patient Preparation:

It is recommended that patient fast for 9-12 hours prior to testing if possible.
