Interleukin-2 Receptor α, Soluble
CPT Codes:
83520 – Immunoassay for analyte other than infectious agent antibody or infectious agent antigen, qualitative or semiquantitative, not otherwise specified

Test Indications:
The function of IL-2 sRα is unclear. Increased levels of IL-2 sRα in biological fluids correlate with increased T & B activation and immune system activation. Results of a number of studies suggest a correlation between levels of IL-2 sRα in serum with the onset of rejection episodes in allograft recipients.
