Draw within 2 hr window of the next dose or anytime after 4 hr post dose. Special Tube Required. Call Children’s laboratories to obtain the Pink top tube to collect blood.

Lab Staff: Centrifuge at 1500g for 10 minutes within 1hour of draw at room temp. Transfer 2 mL of K2-EDTA plasma into the polypropylene tube provided. Fill out the provided label & affix it to the tube with tape. Place the polypropylene tube contained K2-EDTA plasma inside the provided crush proof conical tube along with a cotton ball for absorbency. Place the conical tube in the corrugated box & seal the box w/ the provided biohazard sticker. Place the entire assembly in the FedEx Cinical Pak with the FedEx billable stamp outside to ship.
Store sample refrigerated and ship the same day at room temp or store at -20C until shipment. Sample should be shipped MON-THURS only.
Fill out & submit the test request form (provided in the kit) along with the specimen.
