Test Indications:

Useful as a screen for the evaluation of anemia, leukemia, reaction to inflammation and infection, state of hydration, and dehydration, polycythemia, hemolytic disease of the newborn, and ABO incompatibilities.

Special Instructions:

Do Not collect specimen while lipids are being infused.

Optimally, specimen should arrive in the lab within 4 hours of collection. Specimens can be stored at room temperature up to 24 hours.
