Useful to establish the presence of primary or metastatic neoplasms and to aid in the diagnosis of inflammatory conditions caused by infection or drug reaction.

Special Instructions:

Specimen must arrive within 30 minutes of collection.

Complete a “surgical pathology/ cytology request form” (p.25) with pertinent clinical information and forward it with the specimen.
