Specimen Type:

Skin or any tissue from a liveborn baby, not for malignant tissue or stillborn baby (poc).

Container:

Sterile screw-capped container

Collection:

Aseptically collect skin or tissue as soon as possible after delivery. Skin biopsy should be taken from back, buttocks, or armpit and should be approximately 3 m in size. Place tissue in a screw-capped, sterile container with sterile saline or RPMI media. May be kept at room temperature for 24 hours. Specimens cannot be frozen. Forward promptly.
