Test Indications:
|
Yersinia enterocolitica is associated with a wide spectrum of clinical and immunological manifestations, including enteritis, colitis, reactive arthritis, and erythema nodosum. Y. enterocolica-specific IgA and IgG are both typically detected following acute infection; IgA usually disappears after 2-3 months, whereas IgG persists for at least a year. IgA persistence is observed in some patients with chronic reactive arthritis.
