The Children’s Libraries in Minneapolis and St. Paul provide educational and recreational books, magazines, and programs to help patients and their families understand and adjust to their hospital experience as well as to promote the many benefits of reading for children of all ages. The library encourages patients and siblings to learn about specific diagnoses and become actively involved in their hospital care.

Library volunteers make bookwagon rounds to inpatient floors so children can check out library books without leaving their rooms. (Please return books to book drops located on each floor.) Patients and families are also welcome to call the Children’s Libraries to request books. There’s a wide selection of books to explore!
