Electrocardiography (EKG)

Children’s Heart Clinic performs or interprets more than 10,000 EKGs per year. Respiratory care practitioners and nurses are solely dedicated to pediatrics and highly experienced in the unique cardiovascular problems of children. EKGs are performed and interpreted on-site at all Children’s Heart Clinic locations or can be performed at other sites around the region and interpreted by Children’s team members.

The team is available to physicians for immediate EKG interpretation via fax, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by arrangement outside clinic hours. Interpretations typically can be faxed back within one hour.
