Agenda:

Washington D.C.: Jane and the other regionals met with Congressmen Bud Cramer in Washington D.C. last week, and it was decided that the RCACs and NCA will be meeting with members of the legislative appropriations committee to discuss the funding that is awarded to the RCACs and NCA. Planning for this will occur next month, and the meeting will hopefully be held in February. Jane will keep everyone posted on this process.

Government Summit: Jane told everyone that this summit will be held in Hawaii, in March 5-6, 2008, and will be geared toward established Government based CACs. The Midwest region will be allowed to send 3 participants. IL, MI, IN and OH all have qualifying government programs. Costs of the trip will be covered by the regional.

Jane asked that these states email Anne with potential candidates (Directors only and corresponding contact info) you would like to send, by November 9^th. Ideal candidates will be from established government CACs, and the final 3 selected will be represent the broad base of government CACs from our region.

MOUs: As discussed at the Chapter Summit, we will be modeling chapter MOU’s from a model from the Southern region. Jane intends to send out a draft this month to everyone.
