AGENDA:

1. NCA dues hike: Teresa Huizar put out an announcement on the list server that NCA dues would be increasing. Jane told everyone that Teresa has offered to be on a conference call for any state that has questions regarding the dues increase. The increase is for both chapters and centers.

2. Philip Nielson WI training: Phillip Nielson works with the CAC in LaCrosse, WI and helps put together a state-wide conference in LaCrosse. The training committee is looking at expanding the length and scope of the conference. Phillip is asking our region if there are other annual conferences going on in other states so as not to create a conflict. SD, OH, NE and MN reported annual conferences.

3. MH Survey: Kim reminded everyone that the survey is due soon and asked the board to push their centers’ mental health professionals to complete the survey as soon as possible.

4. Chapter grants: the grant year ending on July 31, 2008, has until Jan 31 to submitted and paid, but the Regional is asking to please send them in as soon as possible to expedite payment. Additionally, we ask that the current grant applications be turned in as soon as possible as well.

5. Other:

- Jane will be in and out of the office for much of November. Please email her during this month if you need anything, and Kim will be out of office November 20- Dec 7 on vacation.

- The group of doctors involved in the telehealth initiative will be coming to MN January 9-10, 2009 to be trained on the program. We hope to have the program up and running by Jan 1st by a few doctors trained before the January training.
