Dave Hoff graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991. He is the primary preceptor-mentor for one resident in the program per year. He also rounds with residents in the pediatric and neonatal critical care rotations.

Dave began working at Children's of Minnesota in 1997. His favorite part of working at Children's is knowing that what he does every day affects the health and lives of the children in the hospital through his recommendations, teaching of pharmacy students and residents, research and clinical leadership.

Dave's current areas of focus are pediatric and neonatal critical care, although he has worked as a pediatric pharmacy generalist, mentor, and clinical leader in three other pediatric hospitals prior to joining the staff at Children's.

He has also worked as a formulary and drug information consultant in managed care.

Dave is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, Minneapolis, MN, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Des Moines, IA. He is also active and has taken leadership roles in the Minnesota College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Pediatrics Practice and Research Network of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
