Acknowledged Leadership

Our programs—ranging from surgery and cardiac care to treatment for seizures—rank with the top children’s hospitals nationally in results of care for our patients. We’re proud that two prestigious organizations affirmed our leadership performance in 2006. Children’s was awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. That puts Children’s in the top 4 percent of hospitals in the nation that have qualified for this designation of nursing excellence.

In addition, we ranked among the top eight pediatric hospitals in the United States for quality and safety by the Leapfrog Group. Children’s was the only pediatric hospital in Minnesota on this elite list.
