Lung function

Median forced expiratory volume over 1 second (FEV1) percent predicted for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients 6-18 years of age

This measure describes how much air a patient can forcibly blow out over one second. The higher the percent predicted, the better the lung function. Children's performs better than the national average for CF Centers.

This measure uses data from the National CF Registry. Approximately 23,000 patients are part of the CF Registry.

This measure is updated annually.
