Healthcare Career Exploration Programs

Children’s wants to support our community by offering healthcare career exploration experiences. We are dedicated to providing programming that creates value for the participant while preserving the safety, security and privacy of our patients and families. Through effective programming, we can offer healthcare career exploration during critical decision-making phases of life and assist in meeting healthcare program prerequisites.  All Healthcare Career Exploration Program applicants (observations, seminars, or interviews) must be at least 16 years of age and have completed their junior year of high school.

Observer Program

The Observer Program at Children's is open to community individuals (non-employees) who are interested in exploring a healthcare career.  This individual desires an opportunity to observe a staff person to learn more about their field and fulfill personal career exploration objectives.   This experience is entirely hands-off and is supervised by a professional.
