December 2006

Electronic Pre-Registration
If you have a Children's Hospitals and Clinics appointment for surgery, radiology or
St. Paul Special Diagnostics services, you can now pre-register in CMO when you add the appointment.

Your existing CMO details are automatically pulled into the new electronic pre-registration form:
 - Patient information
 - Doctor/clinic information
 - Guardian information
 - Emergency contact information
 - Insurance information

You can also add new CMO information, or update existing CMO data, as you complete the pre-registration.

When the appointment pre-registration is complete:
 - The pre-registration is automatically submitted to the appropriate Children's Admitting
department (St. Paul, Minneapolis or West)
 - Your new appointment record in CMO includes the pre-registration submission
   date and time

When Admitting receives the pre-registration, they will call the patient's guardian (identified on the pre-registration) to confirm that the pre-reg was completed.
