Children's - Minneapolis Infant Care Center

ICC is a specialized 32 bed unit servicing infants from the 5 state area with multiple complex medical issues ranging from prematurity, abdominal issues, hydrocephalus, respiratory compromise, various syndromes and drug withdrawal. The unit is lisenced for 32 beds; 28 beds which are private and 4 double rooms that allow for Twins and family bonding. The Unit is directed by Nina Perdue M.D. and Deborah Freeman Nurse Manager. Discharge planning with families begins upon entrance to the Unit and throughout their stay. Rooms are designed for parents to stay overnight and participate in 24 hour around the clock cares. Primary Care Nursing is the goal for all infant care with support from various interdisciplinary services.
