The Skin Integrity Program at Children’s (formerly called the Wound-Ostomy Care Program) is growing in both staff and treatment capabilities.

Maegan Strom joins Sandra Oehlke, CPNP, as a wound-ostomy care provider. Melissa Steger, CNS, dedicates half her time as the advance practice nurse for neonatal skin integrity issues. Together, this team brings more than 65 years of neonatal and pediatric clinical experience.

New services will now be provided by this expanded program, including: difficult diaper dermatitis, unusual rashes or skin conditions and management of complex wounds and ostomies. Prevention is also a primary focus to help eliminate the potential for pressure ulcers.
