Children’s Minnesota – Minneapolis

Room service

Patients may order food from the menu in each room. If your child is in a neonatal unit or another unit where room service is not available, please check with your care team for patient meal options.

Hours: 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. daily

To order food for patients:

  • Call 4-3663 (FOOD) from a Children’s Minnesota phone.
  • Call 612-813-3463 from a mobile phone.

Guest trays may also be purchased with a credit card.

Starz Café

Hospital, floor 1
Full service café with hot entrees, sandwiches, salads and other grab-and-go snacks. Gift cards available.

Starz Café hours: Open 24 hours a day for self-service.

Hot food service:

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30–9:30 a.m. and 11: a.m.–1:45 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday: 6:30–9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Closed: 5:30–6:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday), 10 – 11 a.m. and 2 – 3 p.m. daily.

Luna Coffee

Children’s Minnesota Specialty Center, floor 2 (inside Marketplace)

  • Monday – Friday: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday: closed

Vending machines

Vending machines can be found:

  • Hospital, floor 1 (in the hall between the chapel and emergency department)  
  • Hospital, lower level, (near hospital elevators) 
  • Tower, floor 2 (near Special Care Nursery, outside of The Mother Baby Center) 

Great Clips Family Resource Center

Complimentary beverages and snacks are available throughout the day in the Family Resource Center. Hours may vary.

Lounges

A lounge is located on each unit, where families are welcome to coffee and tea. Families also may use the refrigerator and microwave in the lounge.
