Among other duties, hematology/oncology pharmacists:
- Help ensure chemotherapy is as effective, safe, and comfortable as possible.
- Verify the accuracy and safety of all medication orders.
- Collaborate with hematologists/oncologists to strategize on the best possible medication choices for patients.
- Provide counsel on issues related to nutrition, allergies, and drug interactions.
