Working together toward a common goal

When abuse happens, it affects all areas of a child's well being. Midwest Children's Resource Center (MCRC), provides the care kids need to help them return to a productive, hopeful future.

Though we come from different backgrounds, we share a common goal of helping kids recover from an abusive experience—physically, mentally and emotionally. Together, we help your family build the bridge from what has happened to all that's possible in life.

Our team is made up of several types of dedicated professionals:

  • Child abuse pediatricians provide evidence-based and patient-centered care for children and adolescents with sexual abuse, physical abuse or neglect.
  • Pediatric nurse practitioners (PNP) have advanced training and education, specializing in the care of children and adolescents.
  • Nurses case managers with specialized training and experience in assessing for child abuse.
  • Psychologists help you and your child understand and cope. They also can help by evaluating emotional reactions. Psychologists assist with behavioral management for children of all ages.
