Vascular Anomalies Center
Children’s is one of only a few comprehensive vascular anomalies centers in the country focused solely on pediatrics. The center sees approximately 50 new patients each year. Located on the Minneapolis campus, the Vascular Anomalies Center provides the expertise, and both medical and surgical options, for treating children from infant to 21 years old.
By coordinating the experts from several pediatric disciplines into a single visit, families experience a new level of convenience in an environment focused exclusively on pediatrics. Diagnoses treated at the clinic include:
- Arteriovenous malformations
- Capillary malformations
- Hemangiomas
- Hemangioendotheliomas (Kaposiform or other types)
- Kasabach-Merritt syndrome
- Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome (KTS)
- Lymphatic malformations
- Midline venular malformations
- Sturge-Weber syndrome (Hmong), (Somali), (Spanish)
- Telangiectatic nevi
- Venous malformations
- Venular malformations, sometimes called port wine stains
