Why support Children’s?
Children’s is the largest pediatric health system in the region, treating more than 125,000 kids each year. By giving to Children’s, your business is helping to ensure that no child is turned away, ever, because of the family’s inability to pay. Your business is also giving a donation that will be used to support an organization that is invaluable to the community.
How do I make my donation?
Within 30 days of your campaign’s conclusion, you can send a check made payable to
Children’s Foundation to:

What will my business’s donation fund?
We will gladly work with you to help designate your donation to a specific program or urgent needs.
Can I use Children’s logo for my own materials?
As part of this cause marketing kit, Children’s provides your business with all the necessary materials needed to implement a successful campaign. We encourage you to take full advantage of these materials, both in print and online format. If you do choose to create additional materials, please keep in mind the following:
- The Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota logo is a registered trademark and cannot legally be reproduced without permission.
- Any additional materials must be reviewed by Children’s before they are used.
Will Children’s provide assistance with promotion?
Depending on the promotion, we may be able to share campaign details with patients and staff. However, we encourage businesses to use the promotional materials provided to spread the word among their patrons. Children’s is unable to provide contact information for our corporate sponsors, donors and supporters for solicitation purposes.
How should we communicate the campaign to our patrons?
As part of this cause marketing kit, Children’s Foundation provides your business with talking points to share with employees. These talking points offer a great starting point to ask if your patrons would be willing to participate, as well as answer any questions they may have. Plus, we have included posters that can be displayed at your business.

Ways to get involved
Here are some ways for you to support Childrens:
Paper icon sale – Invite your customers to “buy” a Children’s star and then sign their name on it after making a donation. You set the donation amount ($1, $5 and $10 are most common). The stars can then be hung in your business to demonstrate your commitment to giving back.
We’ve seen the greatest success in icon sales when each clerk asks every customer, “Would you like to donate a dollar or five dollars to help Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota?” Consider creating a contest to encourageyour employees to ask for donations!
Percentage of sales – Donate a percentage of sales to Children’s during a pre-determined window of time.
Our customizable posters make it easy to publicize your charitable commitment! Fill out the poster included in your kit and add the following information: your business name, percentage of sales you’ll donate and time period of campaign.
“Wish List” of items needed at Children’s – Invite your customers to purchase items needed at Children’s and then donate the items to our oganization following your campaign. Find items most needed for our Arts and Healing project and Child Life program by visiting our wishlist.
Facebook “like” campaign – Encourage people to “like” your business on Facebook and make a donation to Children’s for each new follower!
Proceeds of a special item going to Children’s – Consider selling a product or menu item with all proceeds going to Children’s!
