Families Giving Back

From surgeries big and small, to cancer care, to innovative pain management techniques, nobody treats kids like we do. It is your donation that makes it all possible. Patients that have healed in our environment of Family Centered Care know best that the little things make a big difference to kids. From music and pet therapy, to comfy fold out beds for family sleepovers or on site Geek Squad support and supervised play areas for siblings, nobody treats kids like we do. There are lots of ways for families to stay connected and give back:

Follow us on twitter, like us on Facebook, make a gift to he area of the hospital that has benefited your family or friends and let everyone know you are grateful to Children's in big and small ways for the services we provide.

Honoring caregivers and staff

Gratitude and generosity are important parts of our culture at Children's. We believe they are good medicine and promote healing. We take great pride in the care we provide to children and their families and want to know from you who you want to recognize and thank. We invite you to celebrate and recognize a member of your caregiving team or any employee who made a difference in your experience. We will share your comments on our intranet so that the whole Children's team knows how much you care.

Sharing your story

We are always looking for interesting patient stories to share on our website, at events, with families in treatment and in our marketing efforts.

Please tell us your story. Which doctor or nurse at Children’s made a difference in your stay, how did we make it a bit easier for your family, or simply, how did you come to Children’s in the first place and what were the little things that made a big difference to your child and family?

Our patients and families inspire every member of the staff here to think “smaller,” smile bigger, and see the child’s point of view. We want to share what you have to say. Add a photo or YouTube video for us to share.

Remember Someone Special

When $1,000 in tribute donations is reached by any family or group, a plaque on the Children's Stars of Caring wall is available for personalizing and placed on the wall at either the Minneapolis or the Saint Paul Children's Hospital location. This exceptional way to show you care offers a special way to remember a loved one. These tributes can be given for joyous occasions such as the birth of a child, birthdays, anniversaries or as a way to express sympathy or concern.
