Grace's Story

In March of 2010 (2 weeks after her 7th birthday) Grace was at Children's in Mpls to have a lump removed from her throat. This was Grace's first experience at Children's and first experience having surgery. We were in the prep room before surgery when Grace started getting scared and silently started to cry. A "life coach" (I don't remember exactly what her title was but her job was to help the children feel more comfortable and ease their fears before their procedure) came into her room and by the time she left Grace was smiling and ready for surgery. Thank you to the Dr.s and nurses who helped Grace and also to the "Life coach" her made her smile and eased her fears.
