Family Advisory Council

Expectations of Council Members

Time commitment:

  • Members are required to attend monthly meetings the first Tuesday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. Meeting locations alternate between the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses.
 
  • Members are expected to participate on committees outside of the council; days and times vary.
 
  • Members are expected to read documents in preparation for each meeting and respond to e-mail and voice mail.
 
  • Each term lasts three years, with an opportunity to apply for a new three-year term at the conclusion of each term.
 
  • Additional time commitments will be required if members accept the Chair nomination to lead the council. Every member is eligible to be nominated for Chair.
