Family Advisory Council
Expectations of Council Members
Training:
- All new members are invited and required to participate in an orientation meeting prior to attending their first council meeting.
- Orientation is led by members of the Family Advisory Council and is designed to help new members understand their role to work in partnership with Children’s staff, learn how to use Children’s facilities on behalf of the council, and to become acclimated in their new role as council member.
- Additional support material, such as the “Preparing for Successful Participation in Family Involvement Projects” can also help new and experienced council members be successful in their roles.
