Pacemaker interrogation and defibrillator implantation

Children’s pacemaker clinic follows more than 250 patients with either an implanted pacemaker or an implanted cardio defibrillator. Pediatric cardiologists can perform pacemaker and defibrillator interrogation during office visits or remotely via the Medtronic CareLink® system. Using CareLink®, families can obtain and securely transmit a full interrogation of the implanted device, including battery life, leads, and other data. A regular phone line is used to transmit the information.
