Families as Partners
Family Panels
Family Panels provide a great way for patients and families to use their experiences to educate staff. By sharing their stories and highlighting things that worked well and areas that need some improvement, families can help increase staff understanding and help shape and improve experiences for future patients and families.
Examples of family panels include:
- New Employee Education. Families share their experiences and perspectives on family-centered care with all new employees at Children’s.
- Medical Education. Families share their experiences with the medical residents and students at Children’s, highlighting relationships between patients and families and their medical care providers.
