Jill Davis TOAST to Children’s Hospitals

Enjoy a night out at the Jill Davis TOAST to Children’s Hospitals. This wine reception and silent auction is planned in memory of Jill Davis, who passed away at 13 months old after open-heart surgery to correct a severe form of congenital heart disease. The proceeds from the Jill Davis TOAST will help fund the new Cardiovascular Center at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The state-of-the-art center will enhance the services provided to children with cardiac related illnesses.

Nearly one in every one hundred babies born in this country will have a heart defect and it is the number one leading cause of death in infancy. These staggering statistics mean that many of us will have a child in our extended family or group of friends with need for the care Children’s provides. Children’s serves the most babies with heart disease in the state and Children’s ranks in the top 20 hospitals in the U.S. for the number of pediatric cardiac surgeries conducted, with some of the country’s best outcomes for the most complex cases. More children will survive and thrive because of the improvements Children’s is making, which couldn’t happen without the support of generous donors like you.

Renowned Celebrity Portrait Artist, Anthony R. Whelihan, has created an original work of art, “KIDS on the COUCH”, for the exclusive benefit of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota new Cardiovascular Center.  A limited number (2) Artist’s Proofs will be auctioned off at the Jill Davis TOAST to Children’s Hospitals event. Museum quality posters of Whelihan’s “KIDS on the Couch” will be for sale at the event and the artist will be present to autograph posters.  All proceeds will be donated to support cardiovascular services at Children’s.
