Harold Katkov Tutorial 2009
Program Overview
PDF of registration brochure
This is the twenty second year of our tutorial. Each year we present topics relevant to health care professionals caring for infants, children, and young adults with congenital heart disease. The tutorial is in memory of Harold Katkov, MD, whose inspiration continues to preserve the success of this educational opportunity.
You asked, so we are answering! This year’s tutorial includes a review of topics based on frequently asked questions. CHC’s experienced and board certified pediatric cardiologists will address hot topics that general practitioners and pediatricians won’t want to miss: EKG screening and proper use of stimulant medications, management of lipid problems in pediatrics, incorporating echocardiogram requests into your day, and, of course a review of heart murmurs.
Two additional sessions include summaries of the latest pediatric cardiology literature and case studies that will offer practical guidance. Prior to the conclusion of the event, a panel discussion will be held to answer any questions or discuss any topics of interest to you; please submit your questions any time during the morning sessions.
