Services
- Comprehensive hearing evaluations for newborns, infants, children, and teens, including:
- Visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA)
- Conditioned play audiometry (CPA)
- Standard audiometry
- Speech audiometry, including word recognition testing
- Tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing
- Brainstem audiometry (ABR or BAER)
- Otoacoustic emissions (TAOEs and DPOAEs)
- Hearing evaluations also performed through interdisciplinary clinics, including cleft and craniofacial clinic, developmental pediatrics clinic, and Down syndrome clinic.
- Consultation and follow-up testing for newborn hearing screening programs in the nursery and NICU.
- Periodic monitoring of hearing for children on ototoxic medication and for children with chronic illnesses or medical conditions that put them at higher risk for hearing loss.
- Recommendations and fittings for hearing aids, FM amplification, or other assistive listening devices.
- Evaluation of hearing aids and FM systems through electroacoustic analysis (real ear and text box) and sound field testing.
- Family education regarding auditory and communication
development, hearing conservation, hearing loss, and
educational programming.
