– gross motor development delay
– cerebral palsy
– spina bifida
– Down syndrome
– congenital muscular torticollis
– traumatic brain injury, stoke, brain tumor
– oncology
– orthopedic injuries
– muscle weakness
– juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
– developmental coordination disorder
– idiopathic toe walking

  • Evaluate and treat children who may have difficulties with:

– motor milestones such as rolling, sitting, walking, and jumping
– returning to age-appropriate activities after a hospitalization, an athletic injury, etc.
– muscle control and coordination
– balance
– strength and endurance
– pain management
– flexibility

  • Serial casting.
  • Interdisciplinary clinics including Down syndrome clinic and hematology/oncology clinic.
  • Identify the need for and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence.
  • Aquatic therapy offered at Children’s – Minneapolis and Children’s – St. Paul.
