2009 Career Exploration Series

Volunteer Services’ Career Exploration Series is for anyone and everyone! You do not need to be a volunteer at Children’s of Minnesota to attend, and participation is free.

Career Exploration Series is one of several unique and accessible volunteer programs that helped Children’s earn a 2007 Health Care Career Promotion award given by the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA)

For more than 10 years, Volunteer Services at Children’s has hosted the annual Career Exploration Series for students, and the general public, to become familiar with careers in health care. This education series encourages participation from anyone in the community who is interested in learning more about career pathways in health care.

In 2009, Children’s - St. Paul and Children’s – Minneapolis each will offer four sessions between June 23 and August 11. Each session is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., regardless of location.

Sparking interest and inspiration!

This is a tremendous opportunity to learn about how to become a health care professional. Feedback from students who have attended these sessions shows that the advice and information provided by our speakers and presenters has sparked tremendous interest in health care careers, and in many instances inspired a new approach to career planning.

Please join us in summer 2009 for this year’s Career Exploration Series sponsored by Children’s Volunteer Services.
