Student Nurse Summer Internship

Program Details

Orientation
The Student Nurse Internship Program begins with a paid orientation. This orientation will acclimate you to the community at Children’s and offer classroom presentations and hands-on training specific to pediatric patient care.

Uniforms
The Student Nurse Intern is responsible for his/her own uniforms. Scrub pant color must be white and scrub tops may be any color or design. Shoes may be any color or design and must cover the foot and toes. You will be issued a Children’s name badge during your orientation that will be worn every day.

Salary and Benefits
You will be paid a competitive hourly salary during the summer. There is no pay differential for off-shifts for this program. Please note that this position does not provide benefits (health, dental, sick time, or paid time off).

Should you choose to continue your employment as a Clinical Support Associate or Health Unit Coordinator with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics, money is available for continuing your education through tuition reimbursement for positions that meet a minimum number of hours per pay period.

Parking at Children’s
Parking is available for interns on the hospital campus. The cost of parking may be a minimal expense.

Traveling to Children’s
Both Children’s campuses are easily accessible from all parts of the region via Interstate highways or by local arterials. Maps and directions are available to assist you.
