Children’s – Minneapolis Intermediate Care Center (IMC)

IMC is a 20 private-bed unit bridging the gap between the pediatric intensive care unit and the medical/surgical units on the Minneapolis campus. IMC has been designated as the cardiac unit, having the staff and skills to care for our cardiac population from the time they are able to leave PICU/NICU until their discharge to home. IMC also provides the telemetry system for itself as well as the medical/surgical units on the Minneapolis campus.

IMC also cares for newborns through adults and their families with a wide range of medical/surgical primary care issues requiring a higher level of care, with a focus on the following systems:
