Red-Vested Rockstar: Lindsay Jemtrud
At Children’s, we want our families to feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they walk through the front door to when they leave the parking lot. Volunteers at our Welcome Center help provide that warm environment by answering family questions, and escorting them to their appointments.
Why is Lindsay a great fit for this role? In her words, “I love helping people.” It’s that simple!
Why she Rocks?! “I love helping people. I would love to work in hospital setting someday to encourage families.”
What is your favorite thing to do outside of volunteering? “I enjoy cooking, hanging out with family and friends my dog, and serving in my community.”
Do you have any pets of kids of your own? “My dog Clare Ava is very special to me. She is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. She loves people. loves to cuddle, is very joyful and loyal. I hope to train her as a therapy dog someday so I can bring her to the hospital to visit kids and families.”
If you could create a new candy bar, what would be in it and what would you name it? “The candy bars name would be ‘Wonderbar’. It would have peanut butter, chocolate, m&m’s and pretzels.”
