Children’s Minnesota Welcomes Minneapolis Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle Weber!
What excites you most about working at Children’s? “I was a volunteer here for two years and also held an internship in the volunteer services office last summer. Children’s seems like home to me and I am so excited to be able to spend a lot of my time here!”
Favorite thing to do outside of work? “Wedding planning! I am getting married in September and all of my free time is filled with looking at venues, food tasting and collecting ideas on Pinterest.”
Something unique or interesting about you? “ Hmm… I am fluent in American Sign Language! I took two years of sign language in high school and four semesters in college. I am also very interested in Cochlear Implants. If I wasn’t freaked out by blood, I would have become a Cochlear Implant Surgeon.”
Favorite Superhero? “Wonder Woman:)”
Do you have any pets? “Not yet… My fiancé and I plan on adopting a German Sheppard this summer though.”
What words come to mind when you think of a volunteer? “Kind, devoted, generous, sincere and loving.”
If you could create a new candy bar, what would be in it and what would you name it? “I would create some sort of S’mores candy bar. I love anything S’mores flavored!”
