Huffington Post published an article about a new study that found more parents are refusing to vaccinate their children. In 2013, 87 percent of pediatricians reported parents refusing vaccines for their children, up from 75 percent in 2006. Patsy Stinchfield, nurse practitioner and senior director of infection prevention and control at Children’s Minnesota, was quoted in the article, suggesting that vaccines should be as non-negotiable as car seats (this quote was taken from a previous story Patsy was included in). “We would never think to just lay that newborn baby down in the front seat and say, ‘I don’t really believe in car seats,’” she said.
