Our team is here to care for kids
Our hospitals, emergency rooms, clinics and parking ramps will remain open as usual during the days leading up to the Super Bowl and the weekend of the big game. We anticipate high traffic volumes, especially in Minneapolis and St. Paul, during peak Super Bowl LII and St. Paul Winter Carnival event times and encourage you to allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. Below are some resources to help you plan your visit.
Traffic and road closures
- The Super Bowl Host Committee’s Know Before You Go website has up-to-date information about road closings and transit options, including recommended routes through downtown Minneapolis and mass transportation schedules.
- The St. Paul Winter Carnival has transportation and parking information for downtown St. Paul events. Please note: a section of Smith Ave. will be closed during the King Boreas Grande Day Parade on Saturday, Jan. 27. Access to Children’s should not be affected; however, there will be additional traffic in the area as other traffic is diverted, so please use caution and plan accordingly. View the parade route.
- The Minnesota Department of Transportation shares weather-related road conditions, road work, commercial vehicle restrictions, road closures and other travel information via the phone or Internet. View MnDOT’s interactive maps or call 511 from your phone.
