Dr. Gigi Chawla speaks on AAP’s recommendation against spanking

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released an updated policy strengthening its advice against spanking and other forms of physical punishment. Dr. Gigi Chawla, chief of general pediatrics, spoke to KSTP-TV about this new policy, explaining that spanking does not effectively deter children from misbehaving and can lead to increased aggression.
