Dr. Gigi Chawla and Rachel Gianni speak about documentary No Small Matter

Dr. Gigi Chawla, chief of general pediatrics, and Rachel Giannini, childhood specialist at the Chicago Children’s Museum and early childhood advocate, appeared on the WCCO Mid-Morning show to talk about the new documentary No Small Matter. This film focuses on the importance of early childhood development and education and how it relates to healthy brain development before age five.  Additionally, the film illustrates how a lack of investment in early childhood development impacts health outcomes for many children, and can lead to increased rates of heart disease, cancers and mental health challenges later in life.
