Children’s Minnesota is looking to add a case cart/anesthesia technician to our central processing department. Our mission is to improve kids’ health by providing the highest-quality, family-centered care to every patient. As a case cart/anesthesia technician, you will be a key part of this mission by using a customer service approach to resource utilization and sanitization.

What is a case cart/anesthesia technician?

In this role, you will have responsibilities in central processing areas as well as operating rooms. You will be tasked with reprocessing and sanitizing all reusable instruments, supplies and equipment. You will also be asked to complete inventory management tasks of reusable and single-use equipment.

This is a full-time position working evening and night shifts, as well as some weekend shifts.

About the central processing department

The central processing department at Children’s Minnesota is responsible for a variety of functions including the following:

  • Decontamination.
  • Instrument and tray assembly.
  • Preparation, packaging and sterilization.
  • Case cart assembly.
  • Ad hoc dispensing of patient care supplies.
  • Equipment reprocessing, tracking and dispensing.
