What’s your position and how long have you been at Children’s Minnesota?

“I am a histotechnician and I have been with Children’s Minnesota since September 2022.”

Tell us why you like your job and position.

“I like being a histotechnician because I know we play a crucial role in helping patients get their diagnosis by preparing stained microscopic slides from tissue samples so that a pathologist can figure out what is going on.”

What do you like about working in this field/department?

“Working in histology I get to use so many of my skills every day: like troubleshooting, multitasking, communication and my technical abilities. While there are similarities day to day, the individual case needs give us a wide variety of tasks which keeps things interesting.”
